Originally, I wanted to keep it. But current gbuild implementation of gb_Library_set_soversion_script is linux only anyway (with, in this case pointless, SOVERSION number) and it just seemed unnecessary to me. For me the old one is 280. the old one: nm -D --defined solver/*/lib/libneon.so | wc -l : 285 ll solver/*/lib/libneon.so* : 1732824 the new one, without .map file: 330 1732932 new one, with .map file: 283 1732672 So, it's best, but linux only and the size is almost the same.
