The unconditional adding of ",1" to the end of the function parameter list each time may be a simple mistake somewhere in either the saving or opening code. Its annoyance is not related to its simplicity as much as its effective and consistent limiting of the number of times the file can be modified, closed and reopened without manual intervention.
