Neil,
I'm going to set my subscription to 'digest', which means I won't be reading
the list as closely as I have for a while.
I didn't get any replies to my note on how I solved my sound problems in
DOS. I hope you didn't think I was upset at all. That's not the case at
all. I really appreciate your input and everyone else's input from this
list... whether it's something that works or not. I look at everything as a
positive learning experience in some way, whether it's some solution that
succeeds or fails. I couldn't believe the solution was really so simple
when I stumbled upon it... and don't know why I didn't at least TRY loading
those drivers to begin with. Just trying to keep the installation of the
new OS as lean as possible I guess.
Anyway, thanks especially to you and Giles for all your advice, and to all
the other list members here!
