Martin,

Does the video output from the expander port work ok? If so, and everything 
else seems ok, then the display is probably buggered. Though if you're 
feeling enthusiastic, you could check all the leads in the display half of 
the box. It's a little tricky to get in but not insurmountable if you're 
careful (particularly removing the plastic covers on the bottom front of the 
display) and you have watchmakers screwdrivers.

Jason Savage has a pdf of the tech manual on his page at 
http://members.home.net/jpsavage/index.html which has all the gory details.

If all else fails...um...I have a dead lib with a working screen which I'm 
keen to get working again - daughter wants it to take to Argentina for her 
university stuff. I don't want to sell it (even if I never get the bottom 
half working, it's a spare for me!) but you could borrow it to decide which 
bits work...or if you do want to sell for spares perhaps we could come to an 
arrangement?
