Indeed my idea is that the problem may come from 16bit PCMCIA to IDE adapter - I use external enclosure for Ricoh 9120 combo drive. Thus I would like to know if it would worth buying Cardbus type adapter or Firewire one. I have also USBtoIDE adapter and I will guive it a try as extended replicator port is next on my purchase list.
