Hi, I'm new to the group, living in the northern virginia corridor doing govt software contracting, and I bought this awesome tiny libretto from a friend in Korea.  I have ghost images for win98 and win2k.  I've run both os's fine on it so far but I'd really prefer to punt microsloth from my machine.

My problem:
Installing from a boot image on the floppy has hung the machine after launching the loading initrd messages.

Installing from cd, well the libretto seems to just not be able to boot from a cd.

Installing from hard disk, tried two different methods:
Boot disk and redhat on local filesystem, results are I still hang on the boot floppy.
Modifying autoboot.bat on the hard drive in dosutils to point to any of three images thus far: initrd.img, boot.img, and pcmcia.img hangs as though it were booting the floppy, same first couple of lines to the loading initrd part, then hung empty black screen.

Anyone have any clues on how I can get Linux on this laptop?

Thanks in advance,
Frankie East
