I confess I'm not even one to get overly involved in phones... it must be pretty obvious I don't have much of a live these days (hmmm... DID I have one??) hanging out on the list as much as I've been! No cell phone, no cordless phone.... hecks... no PHONE! Well... guess I don't need one here at my brother's where he's got 2 lines and a total of 8 phones around the house including his cell phone. I was going so nuts with the noise around the place each time one of zillions of calls he gets comes in.... I went around and turned off ringers, reset, and in the case of an old bell type... disconnected the wire to the bell that, at it quietest, overpowered the rest of the aural cacophony.
