I remember building a small solar charger out of RadioShack (a chain here in the USA) parts that charged two sets of 4 NiCD AA batteries for my Walkman. The trick in charging when I was backpacking a lot in the Sierra Nevadas out in CA was to keep rotating them to face the sun during the days in camp. It was a slick little unit until some kids in Mexico later ended up playing it. It had a VU meter with a needle that would tell me just when it was charging at the highest rate. Funny... it's like an old friend I haven't seen in years :-) Matt _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://libretto.basiclink.com/archive - Archives http://www.picante.com/~gtaylor/portable/faq.html - FAQ -------TO UNSUBSCRIBE------- Reply to any of the list messages.
