Lee, that is an interesting point !

I have not a Libretto yet, but after my extense research, my choise is between a new
PD-1100 to be purchased from Tidal Technologies or an used Libretto 1100. It comes
down to the touchscreen vs. WinXP ACPI issue. I concede, that I do not have experience
with the panel-mounted mouse, but in lack of opportunities - in germany are not many
Lib 1100 - I decided by eye sight, that the mouse is strange.

Currently I am using a HP Jornada 720 with touchscreen. So, the mouse of the Lib 1100
should be quick and accurate to use.

How quick and accurate can the Lib 1100 mouse be used:
- (critical for mobile use) Is it quick enough to select menues, while you hold the
Libretto 1100 in one hand?
- (essential for use at all) Is the Lib 1100 panel-mounted mouse very much better than
an ordinary trackpin/trackpoint? I tried to use a trackpin to make flow chart
sketches, but it drove me crazy.
- Can I make flow chart sketches with the mouse almost as easy as I can do on a
touchscreen (depends on experience with touchscreens and flow charts)?

I would like to hear from a lot of you all about your experiences with the
panel-mounted mouse before I can decide to purchase a Libretto 1100.

Bernhard
