One minor(!) detail - you won't have a space for the hibernation data to go. 
If the drive is less than 8G, you must either format it *in the lib* to 'use 
maximum space' or elsewhere, reserving 40G or a little more at the end of 
the drive. That's around a 99% usage on a 6G.

Not if you can make the mechanics fit.

Yes, the lib does auto detect. You need to be careful though never to boot 
the lib disc in the desktop as windows will throw away all your drivers as 
it detects new hardware. Recoverable but slow and a pain.
