Hi All, So, bought 50CT a week ago (eBay) for £150 from a 'very nice man'. It was loaded with Linux (I have played with it a bit but wasn't what I wanted ..) anyway, when I bought the Lib the guy also sold me a Parallel to SCSI adapter and gave me a 'boot disk' to go with it. When I got home I 'Fdisk'd' the drive, booted from the floppy and copied Win95 Cabs (OSR2) and any utils I thought I'd need from CD's to the Libby HD. I installed W95 and the utils, my GPS, Fuji and Palm progs and apart from some strange re-boots and some PCMCIA and Audio drivers missing all was fine. (everything worked though) Then, my GPS prog wouldn't start so I uninstalled and re-installed it with no improvement? Today I started again with W98SE and it all seemed to be ok, except for the PCMCIA FDD? A quick google round the net gave me a simple .inf file and now the floppy's fine as well! So, apart from being a bit worse off for disk space (by 66M, I think I'll convert it to Fat32 in a min, though it did mention 'Hibernation..') all is well (touching wood)! My 12V 'Mobility' adapter turned up from the US of A for around £30 all in? I just need the Missus to come home with the car to test it (ciggy lighter socket). Still going to make a 12V lead/box with 'tricker' cct ..though for motorbike camping. I've tested the GPS tracking on the Libby (walking round the garden) and that works ok too! (The GPS has detailed maps built in so viewing it on the Libbys is only for fun (no good on our Motorbikes!) I'm now considering a HighCap batt but before that a bigger (thin 8.45 mm one (ok David <grin>?)) drive. (eBay, here I come again). Question though, how well does 98SE handle all the extended features for the Lib withthout me loading the Tosh 'extras' and possibly mixing W95 utils on a W98 system and screwing it up? ie, Do I need a 'hairy' lightbulb? Lastly, I feel after all this effort I'd like to Ghost this image somehow. I have a 6G PCMCIA drive or network card, or (if I can find it) a parallel port network adapter ... hmm, that sounds easiest .. no card services or point enablers .. ) So, thanks again for all the help you guys have offered .. and I'm still learning .....! All the best ..
