This wasn't me, sorry, it was Tim. He said he was having problems with his GPS. I've used them many times (the company I fly for used them in our 727s in Europe, and I got to do the first flight! It was from Paris to Tel Aviv, and the F/O's antenna had a fault, so we ended up with only one, and I played with it all the way to Tel Aviv). I have one in my small plane and my husband has one for racing sailboats. I even rented a Hertz car not too long ago, with a GPS in it. The kids got a kick out of it. I haven't tried one on my computer yet, since we usually have INS in the planes I fly now (very retro!).
