I always configured it manually; it is ugly, but give sound with wav, mid, and mp3

      modprobe soundcore
       modprobe sound
       modprobe ad1848 io=0x530 irq=5 dma=1
        modprobe opl3 io=0x388

Never got to start with opl3sa2
