Would it be possible to boot from either of these?

Some ideas for portable storage devices for the Libretto, cheap:
$99, 2GB Toshiba PC Card HD:
Tiger Direct

-1100%20P

$49, 260MB PC Card HD:

Some ideas for flash HD replacements for the Libretto (shock proof, lower
battery consumption):
SimpleTech 2.5" HD replacements:
http://www.simpletech.com/upgrade_navigator/?ProfileID=330&upnav=upgrade_nav
igator_action.php&productListing=true&ProductCategory=IDE%2BFlash%2BDrive%2B
2.5

tech specs:
http://www.simpletech.com/navigator/oem/oem_list.php?category1=Flash&categor
y2=Flash+Drive&category3=IDE+Flash+Drive+2.5

Basically, ~$400-600 for a ~500MB model; $1500 for a 2GB model (jump from
part
#s above to buy.com pricing).

It would be very intesting to see what performance and battery life would be
after replacing the regular Libretto HD with one of these babies, but prices
are a bit steep for now. (Too bad we're still not in the DOS days - the
cheaper <500MB models would have worked perfectly!)
