You know, not everyone has a camera like yours that uses CF. Mine uses multimedia memory cards. I wish it did use CF, it'd be easier to xfer pictures. I also can't throw money at my problem. I will be making money off of this upgrade. $100 for my toughbook and at least a $300-$400 sale for the 70ct package I have. All around it'll be a better setup for myself. I may even also use the money for a better camera for myself as well. Why fiddle with trying to make this 70ct work? The libretto is just too proprietary to have to upgrade. Too thin of a HD, too expensive of ram, and too fragile, and too small of a screen. For some, that's perfect, for me, it's just too little, even for a 110ct. I'm packing my bags and moving. It was a fun ride, I'm glad that a libretto works for some of you, and I'm glad some of you have a CF camera. That's very nice of you to mention it, and suggest that i should use one to make my libretto work properly when DLing pictures. That'll also fix the paging during wordprocessing and browsing teh web, like checking my email. Even with an ethernet connection, it's like using a 14.4 modem. And that's under win95, with no plugins or other programs loaded. I have nothing in my system tray other than the battery icon, and I know how to edit the RUn and Load sections of teh registry to keep things like the realnetworks player from loading. It's still not enough. I give up as I haven't gotten anything helpful from anyone here about teh low ram problem, other than what amasses to "why don't you buy a ram upgrade, or a better libretto?" You know what, I've gotten rid of it, that's my solution, and gotten a far better laptop, one that's cheap to upgrade. I could spend $300 and get a libretto that's a little faster, little more ram, little bigger screen, or make $300 and get a bigger laptop that had far more ram, bigger HD, way bigger screen, and a faster cpu. Hmm, I think I'll tell those who think I shoudl put money into this existing libretto and tell them to shove it. I'm out of the game of spending money on this horrid thing. I bought a brand new battery, and it's not doing any good. I haven't even used it other than three times. Time to wash my hands of this unit. It's served it's purpose, and now it's gonna go bye-bye. | _____ _____ _____ __ __ __ __ _____ _______________ | THE /_ _// ___// ___// // // |/ // _ //______________/ | / / / _/_ / /__ / _ // // // /_______________ | /_/ /____//____//_//_//_/\_//____//______________/ | _______________ ___ ___ ___ _____ _____ __ __ | /______________// _ \ / _ \ / \ / ___// _ // |/ / | _______________ / // // //_// /\ // /_ // // // / |/______________//____//_/\_\/_//_//____//____//_/\_/ ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ - Archives -------TO UNSUBSCRIBE------- Reply to any of the list messages.
