It would have been easy, I only mentioned it in passing as part of something else ...

 I had the answer then - simply disable direct
INT 13 extended drive access in the preferences panel of Ghost and it'll see
everything right away.

Actually, it was the other way round, I had to set it to PREFER Extended INT13h access over direct IDE access (using the -ffx switch) to get Norton Ghost to play nicely with EZ-Bios (I'd imagine you'd want to DISABLE it using the -fnx switch if you were using the various tweaks to get around the 1024 cylinder problem WITHOUT using a drive overlay eg. relying on Win2k or Linux to be able to see things) ...
