I think part of the problem is that once one person does it wrong, then it plants the wrong ideal in a whole group of people thinking about unsubscribing.

** TO THOSE WHO ARE THINKING OF UNSUBSCRIBING **

The process of unsubscribing is written out in the tag lines of each message you receive from the list. Just respond to any mail from the list, or address a new message to the list, and type the following into the 'Subject:' field of the email >exactly< like this:

cmd:unsubscribe

And to unsubscribe from the digest:

cmd:unsubscribe digest
