Subject: [LIB] Panning Support

Hello Everyone,

How do you enable/disable panning support on a Libby? IS it
different for Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP?

I presume 'panning support' refers to the ability to scroll around the screen using the mouse? With Win95/98/2K (and I presume ME/XP), it is there by default as long as the following conditions hold true.

1: The desktop resolution is greater than 640x480 (for the L50/70) or 800x480 (for the L100/110).
2: You're NOT using the external display (and you haven't activated external display with the software tool or in BIOS).

To disable it, simply drop your resolution to something that'll fit on the physical screen. If you're using an external monitor, set the Libby to external only display (not both at the same time ... on my L100 under 2k with a desktop of 1024x768 at least, it causes the external display to be set to 800x480 and scrolls around with simultaneous display but it drives the external one at proper 1024x768 when I say external only in the BIOS).

The problem that may happen here is, AFAIK, there is no display mode switcher for 2k (I don't think the one that came with the librettos for 95/98 work under 2k, someone correct me if I'm wrong) so the only way of switching from external to internal to simultaneous is by the BIOS (you can hibernate 2k then change the settings when you boot back up though, its messy but saves a full reboot).
