Well, since you seem to have the patience to do the research, would you care to do the same for 60 and 80Gig HDs? ;-)
I have an IBM IC25N040ATCS-04-0 4200rpm 40Gig in my 110 right now,
Trying to nail down which drive models are wich is really frustrating. For some reason there seems to be an overall classification of drive models, and then sub-classes.
Your IC25N040ATCS-04-0, or IC25N040ATCS040 falls somewhere in the range of IBM Travelstar models 10E to DVAS:

I'd like to pull it out and put it in my Archos (moving my 20Gig Archos Recorder drive to my wife's 5Gig Archos Player), but only if I can upgrade in size and preferably downgrade in power usage.
Well, from what I can see so far, the Hitachi DK23FB series look the fastest and most efficient from what I can deduce. There are 60GB, 40GB and 20GB models, all of which seem to have basically the same performance specs.
The problem is that Hitachi doesn't seem to have put out a data sheet on the line. What I can find is limited to the spec sheel on the Dell website, and a few little ads for the drive.

But if speed isn't a factor for you, though I'd think like me, you'd want your MP3s to load in a resoanble amount of time, then the Travelstar 80GN 80GB model IC25N080ATMR04 may do you well.
You can find specs on all Travelstar drives here:

Or more directly, specs on the 80GN series here:
