Correct. w/o any switches, Ghost 2001 only saw one partition of something
(incorrect size) on the HD, not the four total I have on mine. This is with
EZ-Drive running in both instances.

Hmmmm.... "Ghost 2001" Let's see... I'm still using an old v6.0 from 1999. But yeah... with EZ-Drive loaded, running Ghost without a switch resulted in incorrect partition info. Without EZ-Drive loaded, running Ghost without a switch results in accurate partition info. Then of course there's my other HDD with all primary FAT32 partitions where Ghost sees everthing properly with all 3 switches I've tested, as well as without a switch.

That said, you can probably get the drive to work w/o EZ-Drive correctly with
Ghost w/o switches if everything on the partition tables is written just right,
but I don't know the magical combination that would guarentee this to work
everytime. Probably a combination of the suggestions posted earlier about
getting the entire HD visible on the Libretto w/o EZ-Drive --- things including
using Partition Magic on another machine, Linux/etc. partitioning, making sure
the correct FAT partition type value is used, etc.

Huh... I must have missed that. But I'm now convinced that EZ-Drive had nothing to do with any, or at least >most< of the problems I've had in the past year with my 20GB Hitachi. It started whining loudly withing 2-3 months of installation (in early 2002), which I always wondered was symptomatic of a future failure. But that last huge corruption of partition tables and file systems a few months back when restoring an image to a new partition at the end of the drive, was definately because the drive itself was failing. That said, I don't know if there was a hardware problem on it last year when Ghosted consistently failed the 1st primary partition on the drive.
