Any of the latest 9.5mm 2.5" HDs as well as those listed on my site will work
fine.

You will need to work around the 8GB BIOS hibernation issue by making two
partitions around this area which you will need to keep empty. See Libretto
Mailing List Archives linked from my site for lots of info on this in past
posts.

Any will do. Just find the cheapest like I did at ibuyer.net years ago.
Maybe hard to find nowadays short of www.ebay.com or a good search for a low
price. 64MB total system RAM is the max.

Since you've got the 32-bit cardbus slot, any will do fine.
www.fatwallet.com/forums/ -> hot deals will have lots of ones on sale cheap.

98SE if you want to have more RAM for yourself and a touch faster response
from the OS; W2K if you want >2GB files on your HD (NTFS support) and generally
a more stable system for most users.

  Either will run fine.

> I assume that WinXP would run too slow??
For most users who've tried, yes. Too bloated.
