I really didn't think it had been that long, but I posted on December 04, 1998. That's the farthest back I can find, but I'm sure there were earlier ones.

Wish Dan's archives had a way to narrow searches like Mike's, then we could compare and see if one has posts the other doesn't for whatever reason.

OUCH, dude. I ordered my 50CT from CDW sometime in 98, they were clearing it out for around $600 from what I remember.

Wow... Online, or in stores?

Amazing what a few months will do. Then again, it was around double that in cost the month before, before they clearanced it. I can't remember where I found out about the clearance price, though.

Well, I don't mind paying what I did. It was love at 1st sight, and I would almost have paid anything to call it mine. :-D That was well before I learned where to find bargain too. Then, there was a practical aspect to the purchase, as I was heading off to Mexico for several months, and the Globalink Spanish translation software I had for a desktop proved very handy trekking about with it installed on the little Libby.

HAH... But those little smiley dimples in your signature are just so adorable Fran! Funny how many years can go by with a psychological suggestion stuck in one's subconscious. 8-D Seems you signed on in February of 2000, si?
