If they want software emulation of directx 9.0 features (the latest 3D graphics functions), then it's fine -- any laptop will run the software and directx subsystem will simply default to software rendering (slower). However, if the software depends upon hardware rendering to support the advanced 3d graphic commands, then you can't run it on the libretto (which is too old to have directx 9 hardware support) you'd have to get a laptop with the latest ATI or Nvidia graphics GPU that has hardware directx 9 support for that. given the specs for the CPU however, it's should be a simple matter of download directx from www.microsoft.com/directx/ first, installing that, then installing the software. ===== adorable toshiba libretto The latest news and information for the Toshiba Libretto owner. http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
