I had a 50ct, a 70 ct and now I'm using my 110CT as my main Notebook.
I Sold my Dell Latitude D500 w/512MB to buy A Sony TR3AP2, but while I'm
earning money to buy this one, I'm using my libby.
I've tried w2k in a 70ct but it runs sooooooo slow that I put back w98, but
in 110ct, with 64MB, w2k runs very well.
I have a 3com, wifi lan card, an adaptect PCMCIA with 2 USB ports where I
connect my microsoft optical mouse and my Ipaq. As a lawyer, I have to type
a lot in work and use an external keyboard, PS/2, connected in the port
replicator, and a external monitor to magnify the screen.
I'm really very happy with it, my battery is working fine (about 2 hs) and I
let my power in the office and put the libretto in my regular briefcase. It
is really a fantastic machine.

Well... talking with Philip offlist, I may just scrap
the idea of setting up W2K on my L70. It seems it's
just not going to run W2K fast enough to satify me. I
went back into the archives, and found an old thread
on the topic, and found a number of people saying they
had W2K installed on their L70s, and that it was
running fine.

However, last year I remember people saying they had
WinXP installed on their L110s, and that it ran fine
for them. Even with XP tweaked to the max, it was
just too slow at most things for my patience.

Anyone have any feedback on pushing W2K hard on a L70,
and having it perform reasonably fast?

So I guess I'm going to have to rebuild my L100
battery pack, and make the leap to it was my main
Libretto.

Matt
