Matt, Partition Magic works from the last partition first and moves 'backwards' to perform your requested operation. In other words, you have to plan out what the final goal is first, then move the last partition first to create the space, then move the other pieces to fit the created space. I am not sure I have explained this exactly right, but, the point is, Partition Magic is VERY PARTICULAR of the order you do things in. My 2 posts then finally came back to me. Don't know if there's still a problem, or if listers are just busy with other things. Don't know if anyone here can answer this question, but I'm wondering why I end up with Partitin Magic reporting partitions out of order so often. I sized the 1st of 3 primary FAT 32 partitions down, and created a new primary FAT32. But after the system rebooted, partinfo.exe reported the partitions on the drive were out of order. Here's roughly what I've got on my 40GB HDD: Partition 1: 3GB FAT32 Partition 2: 5GB FAT32 empty space for hibernation: ~64MB Partition 3: 32GB FAT32 After shrinking part1 and inserting another, partinfo complained about things out of order. Aftrr deleting the new partition, and sizing part1 up again, the error went away. I tried the same and similar attempts, all with the same result. Anyone have any idea what causes this? I've had this problem with PM for years now. I wonder if there's a PM Yahoo support group. Thanks, Matt __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo!
