Seen in in person in Tokyo - it's okay, but definitely larger than the
Libretto 100/110, so it's a toss up -- you get a faster, newer PC loaded with
everything, but it's just not as small anymore. The biggest problem is that to
go over ~2 hrs of battery life, you need to attach the bar external battery in
the back, thus making the unit even bigger and heavier (vs. 4 hours or so
default on the 100/110).

Other than that, it's a nice little mini-notebook.

And those silly pocket B&W PCs that were the fad years ago, too....
Closest you'll come today is the Sony U50/U70 series out in Japan and the USA
(under a different U number).

Touch screen, but honestly, I've seen it in Japan and at Microcenter in the
USA, and both times, the font is simply too small on the 5" screen to be worth
the $2k+ for me (even when enlarged). It's nicest for the casual GPS/on-the-go
salesman, but for real use, heck, I'd even go get the X505 instead with bigger
screen.

---

For the latest models, I'd say I'd also eyeball the X505, the Toshiba R100,
Dynabook SS SX, and Fujitsu LOOX/T70H/P5000, Panasonic Y/R/etc models as well.
Although bigger than the Libretto, the same weight range (2-3lbs) and more
comfy screen & keyboard. Smaller, Sony U50/70, that QQQ computer, and the
Sharp SL-C series Linux palmtops.

But all in all, the Libretto 110 here is just fine for email & wp, so it's
still a keeper for me.
