Duh! Stop using the machine right now and stop using the HD! The more you use it, the closer it comes to dying on you! --- Once you get the HD, you can easily clone it using Ghost 2003 (either on the Libretto to an external CD drive or HD; or on a PC using a 2.5" to 3.5" IDE adapter). --- You will need to keep the 8GB boundary clear of any partitions (ie. you'll have split the HD into at least two partitions; more if you want). See prior posts in the Mailing List Archives for more on this. --- Other than that, it's a pretty simple matter whether you install Windows 98SE or 2000 or XP. Drivers are all at www.csd.toshiba.com Would recommend you downloading all of them first, then burn to CD for use later. --- Easiest? fdisk and format the HD in the Libretto; then use any means to get the entire \windows install directory (name may vary) onto the HD, then run windows setup from that directory under DOS. This eliminates the need to have the windows CD handy if windows ever refers to the install files, and speeds install. ===== adorable toshiba libretto The latest news and information for the Toshiba Libretto owner. http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
