  Thanks!
FORGET the pics! check out the full REVIEW they have with benchmarks!

3:57 battery life, Sysmark 2004 overall - 96 (business 88, multimedia 105).

For comparison, a Dell 9300 17" 2Ghz Pentium M gaming notebook gets:
3:15 battery life, Sysmark 2004 overall- 141 (business 113, multimedia 175).

BHAHAHAHA! They actually compared the Libretto to the Dell 9300?!?! That'd have to be the biggest notebook I've seen that qualifies as being a notebook (it's on the borderline between a notebook and a "portable" in my book) ... talk about a contrast ... hehe ... how does the InterLink, for instance, fare in the same test?

So, for surfing & word processing, pretty fast vs. a regular notebook; but
definitely slow if you're doing MP3 encoding, processing, and rendering.

I think the screen would be more of a limiting factor for things like surfing and word processing ... I spent a lot of time on my 800x480 L100 and it was nice but moving to the 1024x768 Portege just felt relaxing on the eyes ... and moving to this 1920x1200 Dell is just wonderful as far as the eyes are concerned (although the dot pitch is probably the same as the L100). Of course, I actually notice it when this laptop is in my backpack but that's the price one pays ... hehe

Think 1.2Ghz P-M = about a 1.8-2.2Ghz P4 on most tasks, but slower once you
hit floating point intensive operations. Also, the laptop HD is going to slow
the Libretto down quite a bit along with the slower RAM vs. a regular notebook.

Any idea what RAM it uses (and the bus speed for that matter)?

Still, a very nice replacement for my L110 - same battery life, about the
same size, but far faster and all the ports built-in (at last!).

Wondering why they released a 1.2Ghz in USA but a 1.1Ghz in Japan.... =?

One of those perpetual mysteries ... Dell released the 2.12GHz (I think it was 2.12) equipped 9300 in Australia before the US for instance ... *shrug*
