Interestingly enough, the Fujitsu P1510 leaves out a few items of note: 1) Active digitizer. They only has a passsive digitizer, so that means no pressure levels, and touching the screen with anything including your hand activates it. Bad for such a large screen -- this means it'll be tougher to use this to write notes on while keeping your palm off the screen vs. active digitizer tabletpcs. Okay for PDAs, tough for larger TabletPCs. No pressure levels means it's purpose as a drawing/sketching/notetaker is severely limited -- you can 'feel' the paper on the R10/R15, but a passive digitizer will make the tablet perform like a so-so PDA. An active digitizer from Wacom ala Toshiba R10/R15 would have been highly prefered. 2) no pcmcia slot. What on earth were they thinking?!? No way to drop in a fast wireless internet card =( from Tmobile, Verizon, etc., so no way to go online with the notebook anywhere in the USA w/o reverting to some silly connection to an external device such as a cell phone (which will drain the cell phone's battery in no time), no way to expand to 802.11n/etc, no way to drop in any of the major pcmcia upgrades. This really is dumb..... --- Anyways, oh, well. back to the waiting line. You'd think some manufacturer would make a modern-Libretto that would include all of the pluses of the former models, but include the latest gadgets and more in a nice mini-notebook. Guess not.... Oddly, my L110 still fills in the nitch for a super-portable well enough after all of these years.... adorable toshiba libretto The latest news and information for the Toshiba Libretto owner. http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ ____________________________________________________ Start your day with Yahoo! - make it your home page http://www.yahoo.com/r/hs
