Folks, I've just splashed out on a knackered battery for my 100ct. It's a high capacity PA2503U, and after much struggling, cursing and force I've managed to crack it open. I'd like to replace the existing cells with higher capacity ones, in common with the world, wife (or husband) and dog (or other pet). Existing cells are Panasonic CGR17670HC (17mm diameter, 66.7mm high) and a website shows that these are 1500mAh cells. My 'umble brain is thinking that six of these should give 9000mAh at 3.6v, so therefore should give 3000mAh at 10.8v - have Panasonic upped the capacity, or am I missing something? From diligent searching, it appears that no-one has tried any other higher capacity battery, but John Niemi was looking at going down the road of the 1500mAh cells - did you ever do that, John? This seems to be a question/thread that I ask every two years or so, but now I actually have opened up the battery, I'm in a position to do something :) Cheers, Nick.
