Hi Gerhard,

Companies like Targus, as well as the usual OEM suspects, make stepup DC-DC converters to run laptops off the 12V systems in cars (some go up to 24 volts, all the ones I've seen have an option for 15 volts). That might be a little more compact than an inverter solution but it does mean you'll need to find your own plug (I doubt they'll come with the little square plug that the 100/110 uses) ...

Good luck!

Gerhard,
If you can't find one, another possibility is a low wattage inverter for the
auto. This will give you one a/c socket with 100watts or so. They sell for
$30-$50 and allow you to recharge phones, pdas, batt. packs, etc. as well as
your Libretto. Good luck, Mike Fisher
