Folks, Thanks for all the input - keep 'em coming if anyone else has any tips! I'll definitely be reinstalling Win2K without IE, that looks like a great idea. I do need to run Win2k (well, NT4 would do) or higher as some software that I need requires NT4 or higher. It is nice to occasionally have the IIS feature on there - yes, I know how daft this sounds - but I occasionally do web development on the move and it's useful to test results as you go. Looks like I'll be making the machine a dual boot at least, as some Linux installations tempt me too. And as for getting 96MB in there - wow, that'd be great. If it's a physical issue, I'm sure it can be sorted somehow with cunning use of adaptors or something - for now, it'd be great to know that 96MB is supported! Cheers, Nick.
