I've just set in the ssh client config:

Host foo
    KexAlgorithms diffie-hellman-group18-sha512

and if I connect to my server, this is the KEX algorithm which gets 
negotiated.

As we try all combination, I wonder what is the SSH counter part you're trying 
to connect to which is failing ...
