This is an interesting question.  However, libtool is indifferent to
ABIs.  It is the user's responsibility to ensure that all libraries
used in the build share a commoon ABI.

Libtool 1.5 is designed to provide satisfactory support for building
C++ shared libraries.  C++ has not been forgotten ...
