Ok, I reconfigured with LDFLAGS="-Wl,brtl", which I assume stands for "run time linking" or something like that? configure only did a few tests, then bugged out with: checking for C compiler default output file name... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables See `config.log' for more details.
