I second that. fxload would be a good candidate. I'm aware that the 
current firmware download functionality is the bare minimum, yet it 
enables people to use the FX3 with the OS of their choice and
start out developing software/firmware on it. 

Currently this is more of a time issue on my side; I'd consider it 
the pareto solution for now.

However judging from the Cypress forum, it might scratch some more
peoples itch, so there may be contributions from other users.
