Should have realized that this was the same behaviour as something that was fixed a few weeks ago. Apologies for having you waste your time on something we should have been able to answer a lot quicker (and as usual, props go to Xiaofan for testing and digging through libusbx' murky past to smoke the issue out). I guess this is another justification for always trying to test with the latest git when encountering an issue, just in case it has already been fixed.
