I do not think so. If you look at the copyright holders, I think it will be difficult to convince all of them to change to BSD license from the current LGPL 2.1 license. https://github.com/libusbx/libusbx/blob/master/AUTHORS If you use FreeBSD, it has libusb-1.0 implementation which is compatible with libusb-1.0 API and it is under BSD license.
