Looks like this is a gcc acknowledged bug, that was fixed in 4.7
http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=36750

As such, I don't think we should bother. It's a benign warning that'll 
fix itself as people upgrade their toolchains.
