The one Travis uses has the full-fledged Serial Connection.

I am okay with the US$50 price as well but the shipment charge
to Singapore is too high. I will probably ask friends to get one similar
board from China. I can choose to modify my current boards as
well but I am a bit lazy now...

I agree that the FX2LP can be chosen as one of the preferred standard
testing device. Somebody can even choose to port the benchmark
firmware to FX2LP...

I think that will happen eventually. It will be quite accessible if the
price goes to something like US$100.
