That would explain why I've been having all the trouble in the world getting
Windows 7 accept the Windows 8.1 WinUSB driver and DLL last time I tried it
(can't remember the error I was getting, but Windows 7 sure didn't seem happy
with it).
Of course, one of the problems we have (AFAIK) is that Microsoft has not
published a WinUSB CoInstaller for Windows 8.1. Or at least I wasn't able to
locate one around the time Windows 8.1 was released.
Then again, even if there's a minimum client restriction, is it still very easy
to check for both the ProcAddress presence and the Windows version. In other
words, even if it needs adjusting as we go along, I don't really see detecting
ISOC support from WinUSB as that big of an issue.
