Purely mechanical change, using:
find . -name '*.py' -exec sed -i -e 's,[ \t][ \t]*!=[ \t][ \t]*None, is not
None,g' '{}' \+
find . -name '*.py' -exec sed -i -e 's,[ \t][ \t]*==[ \t][ \t]*None, is None,g'
'{}' \+
This change makes sense.
