Try: libvirt.git $ ./autogen.sh --system && make; >From a root terminal then: libvirt.git # ./run ./daemon/libvirtd Now, if you check the version (virsh version --daemon) you should see the new version. Although, it'd be probably better if you build the package for your distro and install it.
