I ran into the same problem about 2 months ago. To solve it, I looked at the
code from the altavista search page. I do not quite remember but the problem is
due to either
1. the naming of your search button compare to the naming of the text box
2. the position of the search button compare to the search box (notice that if
you TAB into it, the search button works properly.
