I don't know if there are any add-ons for LWP that allow one to *record* a
test script, but LWP *can* be used to fill in forms, press buttons and
follow links, handle cookies etc.

LWP can do pretty much what a browser can do, you just have to tell it what
to do...

Check out the webchatpp script:

which is an easy way to create quite powerful LWP scripts.
