This is a well known bug with installing libwww on MacOS/X and was reported on Usenet some time ago. Because the MacOS/X startup scripts use "head" to look at the first few lines of a file, and because HPFS+ can't tell the difference between "HEAD" and "head" you find startup scripts fail. Apple are aware, but I don't believe that they're interested. IMHO this is a serious problem because of the consequences. -Nigel -- Nigel Horne. Arranger, Composer, Conductor, Typesetter.
