Hi everyone,

I attempted to update libwww to ver. 6.01 as follows:

* ActivePerl from ActiveState, ver. 5.10.1.1006

* PPM ver. 4.06

* On a Win32 box (Win-XP-Pro SP3 updated just a few days ago)

When choosing to upgrade, it listed dependencies on the following modules:

* LWP-MediaTypes

* Encode-Locale

* HTTP-Message

* File-Listing

* HTTP-Negotiate

* HTTP-Daemon

* Net-HTTP

* HTTP-Cookies

* HTTP-Date

* WWW-RobotRules

* IO-Compress

* Compress-Raw-Bzip2

The "Downloading", "Unpacking", "Generating HTML for..." was all "done".

Then came the "Updating files in site area ... " which "failed", with the
following error message:

ERROR: File conflict for 'C:/Perl/site/lib/IO/Compress/Adapter/Deflate.pm'.

    The package IO-Compress-Zlib has already installed a file that package
IO-Compress

    wants to install.

It would be nice if PPM would also tell me what to do about it!

Can anyone?

Meir
