While we're at it: LICQ supports Unicode, but I have never got it to work for 
anyone except me! When I send UTF8 messages to Windows users, all 
UTF-characters get screwed up. And when I send them to LICQ users, they too 
see only garbage. Has anyone tried this a bit more thoroughly?
