This is not a fairly simple process.  This requires adding another plugin 
system to the daemon.  Which itself is a major working due to the structures 
used are meant for ICQ only.  Secondly, changes would have to be made to the 
GUIs as well.  And then finally, the plugin could be started.

I'm sure the protocol would be the easiest part as well.

Recompile the plugins when you compile the daemon.
