Please update to the latest CVS to test out how things work with invisiblity issues. If some users can see you, remove and add them back to the proper visiblity group. The toggle should force any changes that you don't download from the server due to your local list not changing, from the server's point of view at least.
Please let me know of the results as soon as possible. I'd really like to make sure this is working and get a release candidate made.
